Fantasy Football: Team Name Tournament for the Javaris Jamar Javarison-Lamar League 2014

Coming up with a good fantasy football name is just as important as drafting a good team (kinda). Below is the 12 team names for the Jamar Javarison-Lamar League (click the link for the origin of our league name). I have identified four critical characteristic that a team name must have. Each category is weighted from 1-5, 1 being the best score. I have seeded the teams according to the lowest score derived.
  1. Creativity - The name must be original. It has to be good and you can feel it when something is original and when something is not.
  2. Word Play - Puns and play on words, especially sports related, is one of the more important aspects of a team name.
  3. Definition? - If I have to ask you what your team name is, that isn't a good sign. Wanna show your intellect? Do it on the field, er, with your point scoring abilities and win games!
  4. Comic - It has to have some humor in it. Fantasy is about having a good time. No one loves the name like: Pool of Blood or Destroyers. C'mon, don't take yourself so seriously.

To just highlight a few of the names above.
 - Quixotic Prayer: You are going to have to ask what that means, but after you understand its funny. Thus the 5 score for 'Definition?' and score of 1 for 'Creativity'; he had to look that up. However, the word play wasn't as strong, but it's decently funny... You see where I'm going with this?

Cobra Kai: Almost everyone knows the reference. Its funny. It is semi-creative. No word play.

Son of Luchesse: If you were in the league last year or rode bus #38, you get it. Since most of the teams are familiar with this name, it gets a high score comic score, but you may have to define it. It also reminds me of how horses are named.

kindergartner kops: Got the alliteration in there. Funny to think about little children as cops. Maybe they are children cops in kindergarten, who patrol the classroom or they are actually patrolling the street, or maybe its really adults in a classroom, or maybe its the pre prequel to Baby Geniuses.

Bayo'wolf: Once you know what it means, it's good, but not funny. You could be confused with the story, but maybe that's the point or is it? It is actually representative of Colin Kaepernick, who plays professional for SF - thus the bay; and he played college ball at the University of Nevada-Reno - the Wolfpack.

Game of Tuesday: Came to life in the middle of a draft! While it was kind of an idea of another, we still give em the points. But it kind of makes me think of Morrie.

Now for the bracket, let's see if there were any upsets in the bracket.

Look, I'm not going to go through each one of these rounds or any for that matter. I did way too many revisions on the darn thing! I'm tired of looking at it and talking myself out of things. It is what it is. Kaeptivating is champ.
